Oneline Illustrations Chapter 5 Hand Gestures is a set of 75 hand line art illustrations: 34 hand gestures, from a thumbs up and a peace sign to a heart and a handshake, plus 41 hands holding and using everyday things like phones, cash, keys, books, laptops and a cup of coffee. Each one is drawn by hand on a Wacom tablet in a single continuous line, and all 75 come as editable SVG, PNG and AI vectors.
Hands are the hardest thing to draw in one line, and the most useful thing to have in a product. A hand tapping a phone explains a payment flow faster than a paragraph does, and a thumbs up says "done" in any language.
The style: a charcoal line and a putty tone
The line is a soft charcoal, close to black, and it never lifts. You can follow it from the wrist up one finger, over the knuckle and down the next, and in the handshake it runs from one hand into the other without a break. Pressure varies the weight, so knuckles and the curl of a fist come out heavy while fingertips and nails thin to a hairline.
Colour is held back. Objects get a flat, warm putty tone, the grey beige of unbleached paper, laid on phone screens, banknotes, book pages, a coffee cup and a balloon, slightly off register from the line. Behind the hands, a faint scribble in the same putty suggests a desk or a table without drawing one. The gesture illustrations drop the fill entirely and keep only a ghost line in putty inside the hand, a second pass that hints at the palm and the cuff.
There are no faces, no sleeves past the wrist and no shadows. Hands are drawn with real anatomy, long fingers and visible nails, not mitts. Quiet, adult and a little editorial, it sits closer to a sketchbook than to an emoji set.
What is inside
The 75 illustrations split into 41 hands with objects and 34 gestures, all on square artboards.
Phones and devices: holding, tapping and swiping a phone, sharing between two phones, typing on a laptop, a tablet with a stylus and an old typewriter
Money and payments: a card terminal, passing cash, counting notes, and handing over keys
Writing and reading: a pen, a pencil, a paintbrush, notebooks, papers and an open book
Food and drink: a takeaway coffee, a mug, wine, a glass, a beer, chopping, seasoning a bowl and wiping a table, plus a balloon
34 gestures: thumbs up and down, OK, peace, fingers crossed, rock on, shaka, pointing, a fist, prayer hands, a heart, clapping, a handshake and more
Who it is for
Fintech and payment apps get the most out of the money group. A tap-to-pay screen, a send-money confirmation or a split-the-bill flow all have a matching hand here, and the calm line keeps a financial product from looking like a game.
The gestures work almost anywhere there's a status to show. Use the thumbs up on a success state, the crossed fingers on a pending upload, the wave on a welcome email and the heart on a thank-you page. Property and rental sites will reach for the keys, and reading or note-taking apps for the books and pens.
Cafes, restaurants and delivery apps can use the food and drink hands on menus and order screens, where a full character would be too much and a single hand is just right.

Pairs well with
The people these hands belong to are in Oneline Illustrations Chapter 1 People At Work, drawn in the same single stroke, so a hand on a phone can lead into a full scene of someone at a laptop. Oneline Illustrations Chapter 4 Animals and Nature adds animals and leaves in the same line. For gestures in other looks, Humano Hand Gestures has 50 in a bolder outline, and Flagship Chapter 3 Hand Gestures and UI Icons has gestures with a lime gradient.
