Refund Policy

1. Overview
At GetIllustrations, we stand behind the quality of our illustration library and the value of our subscription plans. We want you to feel confident when you subscribe or purchase, knowing that we offer a fair and transparent refund process.
Our core commitment is simple: if you subscribe for the first time and are not satisfied within 14 days, we will give you a full refund — no questions asked (subject to the eligibility conditions below). Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and our obligations.
All refunds for digital product purchases (illustration packs, bundles, and subscriptions) are processed through Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Once your refund is approved by our team, we initiate it via Paddle's system. Refund timelines depend on Paddle's processing and your payment provider. Custom illustration services paid via Stripe or PayPal are refunded through those respective processors.
2. Subscription Purchases — 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all new subscription plans (monthly and annual). If you are not satisfied with your subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial payment.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the 14-day money-back guarantee, all of the following must apply:
- This is your first-time subscription to that plan (not a renewal or re-subscription).
- Your refund request is submitted within 14 calendar days of the initial payment date.
- You have not used any downloaded assets commercially prior to requesting the refund.
- You have not previously received a refund for any GetIllustrations subscription.
How to Request
Email hello@getillustrations.com with your order number and the reason for the refund request. Our team will process eligible requests within 2–3 business days.
3. After 14 Days
After the 14-day guarantee period has passed, refunds are generally not provided for subscription payments. However, we will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis under the following exceptional circumstances:
- Technical issues — A documented bug or platform outage prevented you from accessing the service for a significant portion of the billing period.
- Billing errors — You were charged an incorrect amount or charged twice for the same period.
- Unauthorized transactions — A charge was made without your authorization and you notify us promptly.
Refunds under these circumstances are at the sole discretion of GetIllustrations and may be issued as a full refund, partial refund, or account credit.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged again.
- All assets you downloaded during your subscription continue to be licensed under the terms in effect at the time of download — your perpetual licence does not expire when you cancel.
- No partial refunds are issued for unused days remaining in a billing period, except as required by applicable law.
5. One-Time Purchases
One-time purchases (individual illustration packs, bundles, or single downloads) are generally non-refundable once the files have been downloaded, as digital goods cannot be returned.
Exceptions
We will issue a refund for a one-time purchase if:
- The product description materially misrepresented the content you received.
- The downloaded files are corrupted or unreadable and we are unable to provide a working replacement.
- You made a duplicate purchase of the same product within the same billing session.
- A technical error on our platform caused an incorrect charge, and you notify us within 7 calendar days of purchase.
Refund requests for one-time purchases must be submitted within 7 days of the purchase date. Requests submitted after 7 days will not be considered.
6. API Subscriptions
Refunds for Illustrations API subscription plans follow the same 14-day money-back guarantee as standard subscriptions, subject to the same eligibility criteria outlined in Section 2. Usage-based API charges beyond any included quota are non-refundable once consumed.
7. Extended License
Extended Licenses are non-refundable once issued. Because an Extended License grants broad commercial rights immediately upon purchase — including the right to use assets in products for sale — we cannot reverse the rights granted once the license has been delivered. Please ensure you have selected the correct license before completing your purchase, and contact us before purchasing if you have questions.
8. How to Request a Refund

Please include the following information:
- The email address associated with your account.
- Your order ID or transaction reference number.
- The reason for your refund request.
- Any supporting details (screenshots, error messages, etc.) if applicable.
Our team will review your request and respond within 2–3 business days. If your request is approved, we will process the refund to your original payment method.
9. Processing Times
Once a refund is approved, please allow the following timeframes for funds to appear:

Once approved, we initiate refunds through Paddle (our Merchant of Record). Actual processing times depend on Paddle and your payment provider. Delays beyond the estimates above are typically caused by your bank or card issuer and are outside our control.
10. Chargebacks
We ask that you contact us before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer. In almost all cases we can resolve the issue faster and more effectively than the chargeback process allows. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in the suspension of your account pending investigation. Confirmed fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent account termination.
11. Abuse Prevention
GetIllustrations reserves the right to decline refund requests that appear to constitute abuse of this policy — for example, repeated refund requests, bulk downloading followed immediately by refund requests, or evidence that assets were used commercially prior to requesting a refund. We also reserve the right to suspend accounts that repeatedly abuse the refund process.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and provide at least 30 days' notice before changes take effect for existing subscribers. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
