Oneline Illustrations Halloween Special is a free set of 25 Halloween illustrations: portraits of the faces that made horror cinema, drawn as one continuous line. They're scary on purpose, with grins too wide, masks too still and eyes you'd rather not meet, but each one is also a careful piece of line drawing. Download all 25 as free SVG, PNG and AI vectors for your own Halloween projects.
This is unofficial fan art, made for fans, and it's free for personal use. Read the licence section below before you use it anywhere, because these characters belong to the people who created them.
The style: one line, a lot of nerve
Every portrait was drawn by hand on a Wacom tablet without the pen leaving the screen. That's hard to do with a face this busy. The line has to travel from a hat brim into a burned cheek, round a row of teeth and back up into the hair without a break, and you can follow the route if you trace it with your eye. Pressure changes the weight as it goes, so the stroke thickens on slow curves like a jaw or a mask edge and thins to a hairline in the fast scribbles of hair and stitching.
It's a duotone. The line is a deep navy, and a hot coral red does the rest: flat blocks of colour for hair, hats, collars and a few well-placed smears of blood, plus a thinner coral line that sits just off the navy one, like a second pass that didn't quite land in the same place. That slight misregister gives the faces a nervous, flickering quality, which suits the subject better than a clean outline would. A couple of pieces add coral rays bursting out from behind, like an old poster.
The faces are close crops, head and shoulders, centred on square artboards with no background. They read well as avatars. Dark and unsettling, but drawn with real care, not gory and not cartoonish.

Licence: personal use only
This pack is free for personal, non-commercial use: your own profile pictures, social posts, party invitations, wallpapers, prints for your own home and a personal blog or fan site. Because these are fan illustrations of characters owned by others, they can't be used in client work, advertising, products, merchandise or anything you sell or earn money from, and the files can't be resold, redistributed or used to train AI. If you need Halloween art for a commercial project, use an original illustration from a paid pack instead.
Pairs well with
The same hand drew Oneline Illustrations Chapter 1 People At Work and Oneline Illustrations Chapter 2 Activities, so you can see the single-stroke technique on everyday people. For a Halloween sale banner or a commercial campaign, the Boldline Chapter 1 business pack has an original Halloween promotion scene with a witch, a pumpkin and a black cat that's covered by the standard commercial licence. You'll find more line-led work on the outline style page.
