Why use GetIllustrations in Figma?

If you work in Figma — whether you are building app interfaces, designing landing pages, putting together pitch decks, or creating social media content — you have probably spent more time than you would like searching for the right illustration or icon. You open a browser tab, scroll through stock sites, download a file, import it into Figma, and then realize it does not quite match the style you need. So you do it again.

The GetIllustrations Figma plugin puts that entire workflow inside a single panel. Open the plugin, type what you need, and drag it onto your canvas. That is it. No downloads, no file management, no tab switching.

How it works

After installing from the Figma Community, open the plugin from the Plugins menu. You will see two main tabs: Illustrations and Icons.

The Illustrations tab shows all 392+ illustration packs. You can filter by style (flat, outline, 3D, isometric, hand-drawn) and browse individual packs. Each illustration appears as a thumbnail that you can drag directly onto your canvas. The asset drops as a fully editable vector — you can ungroup it, change colors, resize, and modify any element.

The Icons tab gives you access to 88,000+ icons across 24 libraries. Search for any concept — arrows, users, shopping, settings, weather — and results appear instantly. Each icon is a clean SVG that scales perfectly at any size.

Supported icon libraries

The plugin includes icons from Feather, Lucide, Material Symbols (Outlined, Rounded, Sharp), Phosphor (Regular, Bold, Fill, Light, Thin, Duotone), Tabler, Bootstrap, Remix, Fluent UI, Carbon, Ionicons, Solar, Iconoir, Boxicons, Line Awesome, Simple Icons, Eva, Akar, Majesticons, Octicons, Radix, Teenyicons, Icon Park, and Devicon.

Authentication and access

You can browse and insert free icons without creating an account. To access premium illustration packs, sign in with your GetIllustrations account using Google, Facebook, or email and password. Your purchases and subscription are linked to your account, so all your packs appear automatically once you log in.

Commercial licensing

Every asset you insert through the plugin comes with the same license as if you downloaded it from the website. Free icons use their original open-source licenses (MIT, Apache 2.0, ISC, CC0) which allow commercial use. Premium illustrations include a commercial license with your purchase — use them in client projects, products for sale, marketing materials, and anywhere else.
